Apneumothorax is a well-documented complication of both high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and the conditions that require its use. Bedside lung sonography has been used in the diagnosis of a pneumothorttx in critically ill patients. However, to our knowledge, a case report on the utility of bedside lung sonography in patients receiving HFOV for the diagnosis of a pneumothorax has not been published previously
