摘要

A novel active frequency selective surface (AFSS), which transmits 2.45 GHz WLAN signals in the ON state and functions as a band-stop filter to shield those signals in the OFF state, was proposed in this letter. A special topology of the AFSS array that required no additional biasing lines between two adjacent units was applied to weaken the negative impact of the feeder network on FSS's transmission characteristics. The proposed structure exhibited stable performances for different incident angles and different polarizations. A prototype of the proposed structure was fabricated and measured, and a good agreement was achieved between the simulated and measured results.
