A well-characterized strontium edta complex [Sr(H2O)](7)[Ti(O-2)(edta)]center dot H2O (1) was synthesized from the reaction of [Ti(H2O)(edta)], H2O2 and Sr(NO3)(2)center dot 6H(2)O at pH 4.0-5.0 (H(4)edta = ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), which is used as a molecular precursor for the preparation of stoichiometric SrTiO3.
