In the paper are described characteristics of lightning location systems currently installed in Poland and operated independently by different companies. Some fundamental information related to systems' configurations, their ability of different type of lightning discharges detection, lay-outs as well assessment of the individual systems quality of lightning data, exemplary recorded data, and their practical applications are presented.
