An Efficient ZnO-Nanoparticle-Catalyzed Regio- and Chemoselective Synthesis of Novel Functionalized 4H-Chromenes in Aqueous Medium

摘要

ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) catalyzed synthesis of novel 4H-chromene hemiacetals with 3-methyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one and cyclic 1,3-diketone with high regioselectivity in aqueous medium has been demonstrated. This method is applicable to diverse substituted chromene hemiacetals and different functionalized 1,3-diketones. All these reactions proceeded smoothly, and the products were obtained in good to excellent yields. The catalyst could be recycled and reused up to 5 cycles without any loss of efficiency.
