摘要

Rapid increase in semiconductor technologies over the last two decades has opened new possibilities for high energy physics ( HEP) applications. Detector systems of several millions of measurement channels based on application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) were constructed. Some of the ASICs operate at the closest proximity of collision points in accelerators and will have to sustain total irradiation doses exceeding the requirements of space applications by several factors. This paper provides an overview of methods implemented in the digital blocks of the ASICs in order to protect them against the effects of radiation.
