A facile one-step hydrothermal synthesis of rhombohedral CuFeO2 crystals with antivirus property

The rhombohedral-like CuFeO2 crystals are synthesized via a facile hydrothermal route by using propionaldehyde as a reducing agent. The obtained CuFeO2 crystals show promising efficiency in the inactivation of bacteriophage Q beta.
