摘要
A 3-mu m-long ultrasmall surface plasmon polariton-effect-based transverse-magnetic (TM) mode to transverse-electric (TE) mode polarization rotator was demonstrated both theoretically and experimentally. Effective polarization rotation with 11-dB polarization extinction ratio (PER) was achieved in fabricated devices. The insertion loss at the transition region was about 11 dB.
