摘要

A frequency-to-digital converter based small size smart temperature sensor for portable applications is proposed. To reduce its size and power consumption, the proposed temperature sensor adopted frequency-to-digital converter without relying on a band-gap reference or a voltage/current analog-to-digital converter. The device was fabricated using a 90 nm CMOS process, occupying an area of 0.0018 mm(2) with a resolution of 3A degrees C.
