摘要
ZnO/ZnS core-shell nanowires were synthesized by using the thermal evaporation of a mixture of ZnO and graphite powders followed by the thermal evaporation of ZnS powder. Then, multiple networked ZnO/ZnS core-shell nanowire gas sensors were fabricated. The morphology, crystal structure, and sensing properties of the ZnO/ZnS core-shell nanowires to NO2 gas at 300 A degrees C were examined. The responses of the ZnO/ZnS core-shell nanowires to NO2 gas were 2.0-2.6 fold higher compared to those for ZnO nanowires at NO2 concentrations ranging from 1 to 5 ppm. In addition, the underlying mechanism for the enhanced gas-sensing properties of ZnO/ZnS core-shell nanowires for NO2 gas is discussed.
