摘要

This article presents a novel pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna that operates in 3 GHz. The antenna pattern can be transformed in between two situations. The two patterns can cover the area from -70 degrees to +70 degrees. Specifically this radiation pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna has potential applications in phased antenna arrays in wide-angle scanning. Measured results of the proposed antenna are provided. The future work about improving the operating bandwidth is also discussed.
