摘要
In nanometric systems the surface energy plays a significant role. A thermodynamic model for two alloy phase particles that includes the surface energy, surface stress and adsorption is formulated and implemented on the solid state equilibrium of the Bi-Sn isolated nanoparticles. Three distinctive features of the phase diagram of nanoparticles that were found in the experiment, are explained in this model: (a) Mutual increase of solubility of both end members with decreasing particle size, (b) solubility limits and existence limits of a single phase
