摘要

The radial inflow turbine suitable for organic Rankine cycle (ORC) waste heat power generation was self-designed and developed. By using compressed air as the working fluid, the performance test of the radial inflow turbine was completed on turbine performance test rig. The experimental results show that the maximum rotational speed of the turbine is up to 63 945 r/min, the highest temperature drop is up to 51.7°C, the maximum output power of the turbine is 4.369 kW and the maximum efficiency of the turbine is 65.7%. The turbine was operated near the rated speed under diverse working conditions for different mass flow rate and inlet temperature. When the rotational speed is 59553 r/min, the turbine efficiency and electromechanical efficiency achieve simultaneously maximum value: 65.3% and 79.1%, and the output power of the turbine is up to 2.809 kW which was basically consistent with the design power. Additionally, under different conditions the maximum electric power of the generator and electromechanical efficiency are 2.567 kW and 79.5%, respectively. Consequently, the conclusions can be drawn that the performances of the self-designed and developed radial inflow turbine are satisfied.
