摘要

Mobile business (m-business) could be described as the utilization of mobile technologies to maintain, improve or extend existing business processes. It is allowing people to make the best use of business opportunities. However, most of the current m-business models are simply an extension of traditional e-business models to support wireless networks. Being not designed for mobile applications essentially, these models lack of mobility support in nature, and their security measures are no longer suitable in wireless environment. The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is an application-level control protocol for multimedia conferencing over IP network. SIP provides excellent mobility support and fine security mechanisms. After detailed research of SIPs applicability in constructing m-business systems, an m-business model based on SIP is proposed in this paper. An implementation example based on the new model is presented. Tests show that the new model has an innate advantage in mobile communications with fine security support.
