By a brief analysis of the relationship between Gerald Crich an Gudun Brangwen and destruction of natural world in Women in Love, the essay tries to reveal D.H. Lawrence's through-going exploration into the intimate human relationship against the deadening background and the somber atmosphere of industrialized capitalist England in early twentieth century.
