Anorexia nervosa among males

This study focused on the exploration of the health problem of anorexia nervosa among males. It expounded on the many reasons why most cases of anorexia nervosa among males are not well recognized. This paper also discussed the similarities and differences between men and women who are anorexic. <br xmlns:set="http://exslt.org/sets">Findings showed that there were meager amount of information on anorexia nervosa among males in the Philippines. The issue was not addressed comprehensively in the past and there were very few information on the percentage of its occurrence. The social and psychological aspects of an individual's total personality were both found to be responsible as self-perception and the standard of beauty or masculinity established by the media as a social apparatus, all affect an individual's tendency to develop the anorexia nervosa disorder.
