A traditional Mongolian input method based on dynamic virtual keyboard and digital image processing

摘要

The traditional Mongolian can hardly be input and shown on embedded equipments these days. So we put forward a traditional Mongolian input method based on dynamic virtual keyboard. This method firstly captures images by video capture devices. And then the virtual input method identifies the key pressed through image process. After that, when it converts the keys into the Latin letters, it queries the database using the Latin letters and the position in the word as parameters. We achieves input by processing the images collected by the video capture devices on the embedded devices and output the right letters by displaying images associated with the input. At the end of the paper, we proved that the method can be achieved through several experiments and it has a good performance in the cost control and user experience.
