摘要

Biochemical tests are useful to learn about the activity and amount of enzymes responsible for resistance. In this study we collected mites Tetranychus urticae Koch in strawberry production fields in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Biochemical tests were performed to determine the enzymatic mechanisms of resistance, using a susceptible line of T. urticae as a reference, and adapting the methods in microplates, as described by Fersht for mosquitoes. Once the method was standardized, the level of enzymes in both populations was determined. It was found that oxidases and alpha and beta esterases have greater presence in the field population, hence they are responsible for the resistance to acaricides by the population of T. urticae sampled in this study.
