A novel method to measure the movement interferences for multi-axis lens actuator in optical disc system

With the rapid development of optical pickup head, multi-axis lens actuator technology has been improved in DVD and next generation optical disc system. Interference degree between different movements of the actuator is one of the most important factors that determine the performance of actuator. However, it is actually difficult to describe and measure such interference degree exactly, and no methods were mentioned on this factor up to now. This paper will bring forward a novel method in describing and measuring such interference degree. Principle of this method will be analyzed and accordingly a simple experiment means used to measure it efficiently and conveniently will also be presented. Experimental results verify the validity of the analysis and the new method.
