A matrix-valued nonlinear Schroclinger (MNLS) equation which describes the dynamics of spinor Bose-Einstein condensates is investigated. We develop and apply the method of nonlinearization of spectral problem to the MNLS equation and obtain an integrable decomposition of the MNLS equation.
