In the title compound, C13H9I2N3O2, the dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 10.5 (2)degrees. The molecule displays a trans configuration with respect to the C=N bond. An intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond occurs. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
