摘要

A 63-year-old female was referred to our department with a large unifocal metachronous colorectal liver metastasis of segment 7 with an involvement of the right hepatic vein (RHV). We planned to perform an anatomic resection of the segment 7 extended to the RHV because of the presence of a large inferior right hepatic vein (IRHV) (Figs. 1 and 2). The intraoperative ultrasonography confirmed the involvement of the RHV and a limited extension to the segment 8. We therefore performed a segment 7 resection with partial resection of segment 8. Pathological examination confirmed macroscopic RHV involvement and a 1.2 -cm surgical margin. Postoperative course was uneventful without postoperative liver failure.
