Annomuricatin C, a novel cyclohexapeptide from the seeds of Annona muricata

A new cyclohexapeptide, annomuricatin C, cyclo(Pro(1)-Gly(2)-Phe(3)-Val(4)-Ser(5)-Ala(6)-) (1) has been isolated from the methanol extract of the seeds of Annona muricata. The structure was elucidated on the basis of the MS/MS fragmentation using a Q-TOF mass spectrometer equipped with an ESI source, chemical degradation and extensive 2D-NMR.
