摘要

This letter proposes a concept of the downside risk (DR) for the study of probabilistic optimal power flow (POPF) with wind power integrated. It aims to obtain optimal dispatch solutions with the minimal expectation of generation cost and the minimal downside risk. This risk is manifested by semi-variance (semi-deviation) of generation cost in a uncertain environment of wind power. The downside risk constrained POPF is then solved via a multi-objective optimization algorithm in a numerical experiment to capture the trade off between the expected generation cost and the downside risk.
