摘要

A versatile approach for the synthesis of (11Z, 13Z)-hexadecadien-1-yl acetate and (13Z)-hexadecen-11-ynyl acetate is described using cross-coupling reactions in the key steps. These compounds are major components of the sex pheromone of the oak processionary moth Thaumetopoea processionea and the pine processionary moth Thaumetopoea pityocampa respectively. The very simple, efficient, and practical method described herein provides a generally synthetic approach to other (Z, Z)-diene compounds.
