摘要
We use a chain of harmonically interacting atoms confined between two sinusoidal substrate potentials in which the top substrate is driven by the driving force. This system is closely related to physical situations with confined lubricant films. The dependence of the static friction force on the system parameters such as the equilibrium spacing and the strength is presented. It is found that the better lubricant films are materials with larger interatomic interaction strength, and the lubricant structure is in the certain region.
