An Analysis of Long-run Effect of Total Factor Productivity Growth on China's Economic Growth

This paper presents a vector auto-regression (VAR) study of a long run effect of total factor productivity (TFP) growth on China's economic growth. The identification of the effect on the economic growth is achieved through a decomposition technique. The result shows that the long run effects of total factor productivity growth, capital investment and labor input growths all have positive effects on China's economic growth, but for the shares of these effects, total factor productivity growth has been the least one.
