We establish the oscillation and asymptotic criteria for the second-order neutral delay differential equations with positive and negative coefficients having the forms [x(t) + Sigma(i is an element of R)c(i)(t)x(alpha(i)(t))]'' + r(t) [x(t) + Sigma(i is an element of R)c(i)(t)x(alpha(i)(t))]' + Sigma(i is an element of P)p(i)(t)x(beta(i)(t)) - Sigma(i is an element of Q)q(i)(t)x(gamma(i)(t)) = 0 and [x(t) + Sigma(i subset of R)c(i)(t)x(alpha(i)(t))]'' + r(t) [x(t) + Sigma(i subset of R)c(i)(t)x(alpha(i)(t))]' + Sigma(i subset of P)p(i)(t)x(beta(i)(t)) - Sigma(i subset of Q)q(i)(t)x(gamma(i)(t)) = f(t). The obtained new oscillation criteria extend and improve the recent results given in the paperof B. Karpuz et al. (2009).
