摘要
In order to improve the teaching quality and teaching effects of professional English reading, promote English majors to better grasp and use professional English reading skills, it is necessary to apply seminar teaching method in the English reading teaching. On the basis of reviewing literature about English reading teaching methods at home and abroad, this paper summarizes relevant theories of seminar teaching method, analyzes problems existing in English reading teaching in the domestic colleges. At last, from these aspects as properly arrange reading tasks to students, improve reading methods, increase interactions in the class and discussion and others, the researcher puts forward specific application method of seminar teaching in the English reading teaching, and hopes this can provide reference and thoughts for English majors' reading teaching.
