摘要

This paper develops a 3D model of dam-foundation dynamic interaction for a high arch dam in China, based on the concrete constitutive model of Hillerborg fracture theory for modeling of contraction joints and induced joints, using a constraint-function contact algorithm. Different seismic waves are used for numerical simulations, and the calculated non-linear dynamic time-history are analyzed, focusing on the variations of tension-compression cycles of dam concrete and damage cracking process and the alternative opening-closing behaviors of contraction joints and induced joints. This work provides valuable references and effective methods for assessment of aseismic ability of arch dam.
