Multimedia collection and management technology based on GPS

A kind of collecting, positioning and managing solution to multimedia based on ordinary digital camera, GPS data record device, and GIS component and its demonstration software system is proposed. The solution makes use of post-processing method to calibrate and match the date and time between digital camera and GPS device in order to get the position of the multimedia where it is collected. The multimedia is displayed and managed by GIS platform, which is easy to make spatial analysis for the users. This solution is helpful to most of digital camera users to locate the multimedia's position without increasing device cost to a large extent.
