摘要

Numerical simulation of resistivity logging-while-drilling (LWD) is important to the electrical well logging instrument design and logging data applications. In this paper, self-adaptive hp-FEM method is used to simulate and analyze the anisotropy of the stratum, and the influence of different dipping angles which can change the amplitude ratio and phase difference of the receive signal from the instrument, the response characteristic is also evaluated. Meanwhile, the finite element analysis software HERMES and VC++ development platform are combined as a zoo! to reflect the electric field distribution in the stratum and at the boundary, which can provide the effective information in drilling geosteering. Numerical illustration results show that the self-adaptive hp-FEM method has the ability of fast convergence and high computing accuracy. Thus, self-adaptive hp-FEM is an effective method for numerical simulation of electrical logging.
