摘要
A novel guest-responsive color-change host, 1, possessing four bipyridinium-modified benzocrown ethers, was prepared, and its ion-recognition ability was investigated. 1 exhibited a yellow color associated with intramolecular charge-transfer (CT) absorption, which faded upon the addition of alkali metal and alkaline earth metal ions. 1 detected Ba2+ with high sensitivity.
