摘要

In view of the growing allergy potential and ecological awareness of the population and, not least, the increasing frequency of water (pipe) damage in recent years, it seems imperative to increase the standard of technical drying of floor constructions. Because mould growth can occur within a single day in optimal conditions, it is particularly important to effectively seal screed edge joints before beginning any drying measures and to control the drying air current. Laboratory and in situ experiments have shown that, unlike foils and joint sealers, sealing joints with silicone tubes embedded in plastic-modified sealing slurries, enables zero-maintenance, low-impedance sealing of edge joints that reliably prevents release of pollutants from floor constructions both during and after drying. At the same time, sealing screed edge joints enables installation of an innovative method of selective drying of isolated areas and avoidance of the drying air current forming channels in a wide range of floor structures.
