Size dependent interface energy and catalytic kinetics on non-ideal surfaces

Thermodynamic analysis is applied to describe the size dependent kinetics on surfaces with lateral interactions. A two-step sequence, often used in heterogeneous catalysis to account for catalytic kinetics, was modified to include the dependency of interfacial free energy on the particle size.
