摘要

Direct borohydride fuel cell (DBFC) is a kind of novel fuel cell. It has a high theoretical specific energy and the discharge products are water-soluble and environmentally benign. The fuel is easily storable and transportable. For these reasons, DBFC gets more and more attentions recently, along with its potential as a future technology for mobile and portable power supplies. Based on the principle of DBFC, the recent progress of anode electrocatalysts and cathode electrocatalysts are reviewed, and the influence of electrolyte and temperature on the performance of DBFC are introduced in this paper. Finally, the key factors of developing DBFC are analyzed and discussed.
