摘要

In this paper, a dual battery energy storage system (BESS) scheme is adopted to compensate power mismatch between wind power and desired power schedule for dispatching wind power on an hourly basis. The two BESSs are utilized to cope with the positive and negative power mismatch respectively, and the roles of them can be interchanged according to the predefined thresholds on state of charge (SOC). Three hourly indices, entitled as expected wind power curtailment (EWPC), expected wind power deficiency (EWPD) and probability of wind power deficiency (PWPD) respectively, are proposed to evaluate the performance on wind power dispatchability provided by the BESS. Sequential Monte Carlo simulation (SMCS) is utilized to compute the three hourly indices. Finally, simulation results on a real Chinese costal wind farm justify the feasibility of the methodology proposed in this paper.
