摘要

A simple thermal model for VCSELs is proposed, and tested in the task or predicting the dynamic behavior of wavelength variation with current. This effect is used in an optoelectronic setup to produce a nonlinear map from input voltage to detected optical signal. Since the effect is thermal in nature, the overall nonlinear relation changes with signal frequency. The model is shown to predict the shape of the nonlinear map in frequencies from kilohertz to megahertz, and is simple enough to be used in the simulation of large arrays.
