摘要

The split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) tests of the sandstone samples abstracted from 2 coal mines are conducted in the dry, natural moisture content, natural water absorption and compulsory water absorption states in order to investigate the influence of water absorption rate on energy absorption of sandstone, and the energy analysis is implemented according to SHPB test results. The test results show that the ways to achieve the maximum water absorption of different rocks are different. After sandstone absorbs water, the air voids and micro-cracks in sandstone are filled with free water. The surface tension effect and Stefan effect of free water prevent the dynamic cracks from propagating under impact load. The specific energy absorption rate of water-absorbing sandstone is higher than that of dry sandstone under high strain rate. And the specific energy absorption rate of sandstone increases with the increase in water absorption rate.
