摘要

In the present work, we report the mixed micellization behavior of the phenothiazine drug chlorpromazine hydrochloride (CPZ) with surfactants (CTAB and 16-4-16) using surface tension, UV-visible, and fluorescence measurements. Various micellar and interfacial parameters such as critical micelle concentration (cmc), interaction parameter (beta), the effectiveness of surface tension reduction (pi), maximum surface excess concentration (Gamma(max)) and minimum are per molecule (A(min)) at the air-water interface have been evaluated using surface tension technique. The ideality/nonideality of mixed micelles is discussed with the help of Clint, Rubingh and Motomura's approaches. UV-visible and fluorescence results also support mixed micellization.
