摘要

Zinc selenide (ZnSe) nanocrystals (NCs) have been synthesized using oleic acid (OA) as capping agent via a simple chemical route. The zinc blende phase of ZnSe NCs has been predicted form the X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The results of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) demonstrated the spherical shape of ZnSe NCs with the diameters in the range of 3 to 6 nm. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy indicates that OA ligands were bound strongly on the ZnSe nanocrystal surface as a carboxylate. The optical absorption of ZnSe NCs displays blue shift with respect to bulk due to size quantization effect. Photoluminescence (PL) of the ZnSe NCs shows a broad defect level emission between 400 and 700 nm.
