摘要

Aim. The aim of the present study was to investigate the correlation between different precompetitive anxiety levels in bodybuilding men.
Methods. Twenty-five athletes participated in the study. They completed the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory questionnaire - II (CSAI-2) one day prior to their competition. Participants can score low, average and high on anxiety.
Results. We observed a significant correlation between cognitive anxiety and self-confidence (r=-0.540; P=0.005). In this sense, we did not observe significant differences between the cognitive and somatic anxiety results (P=0.542). However, significant differences were found between cognitive anxiety and self-confidence (P=0.012) and between somatic anxiety and self-confidence (P=0.007).
Conclusion. In general, an inverse relationship between these anxiety factors (cognitive anxiety and somatic anxiety) and self-confidence exists. The pre-competitive score levels of anxiety varied: low for cognitive anxiety, average for somatic anxiety and high for self-confidence.
