摘要

Experimental data of temperature versus time obtained by dual-thermistor heat pulse equipment can be analysed by two approaches to find the thermal diffusivity and the thermal conductivity. One, referred to as the peak point approach, is based on accurate identification of the peak point in the temperature versus time measurement. The other is a nonlinear fit approach by comparing the theoretical model with the experimental data. A sensitivity analysis is performed to define an optimal measurement time interval with a desired uncertainty limit for the nonlinear data fit. The experimental design can also be optimized from the sensitivity analysis. A comparison of the two approaches is presented according to the results of data processing.
