MeOTf-induced annulation of arylisocyanates and arylalkynes leading to 4-methoxyl-2,3-diarylquinolines

MeOTf-induced one-pot method for the synthesis of a series of 4-methoxylquinolones has been descripted. This route provides a practical and convenient method for the synthesis of 4-methoxylquinolones from readily available starting materials under metal-free condition.
