摘要

A microwave rotary joint using a slotted waveguide ring for wideband and ultra-wideband signals is presented and analyzed in this paper, An analytical description of the channel model is derived and compared to full-wave three-dimensional electromagnetic field simulation results as well as to measurement results of a fabricated prototype.
Experimental results show the suitability of the rotary joint for ultra-wideband data transmission with data rates of up to 200 Mbit/s. The design of the proposed rotary joint supports continuous, uninterrupted data transmission along the entire circumference of the waveguide ring.
