摘要

Theoretical investigation on probe fed different isosceles theta(i)-theta(i)-phi(i) Triangular Microstrip Antenna is presented here for the first time. Tri-linear transformation is modified to obtain the eigenfunction and eigenvalue. Since the trilinear transformation is available for equilateral triangle only, not for arbitrary isosceles triangle, our theory gives fairly accurate results for theta(i) >= 60 degrees at fundamental TM10z mode only. Approximate expression is given here to predict the resonant frequency with an accuracy of 1.3%. Theoretical results on resonant frequency, input impedance and far-field patterns are compared with experimental data to show the validity of our theory. It is found that our theory gives results order faster (approx. 60-100 times) than EM simulator.
