Synthesis and crystal structures of new bimetallic polynuclear complexes in 2-dimensional (2D) architectures, [{Cd-II(4-OHpy)(2)}{Ni-II(CN)(4)}] (4-OHpy = 4-hydroxypyridine) (1) and [{Cd-3(II)(3-O(-)py)(2)(mea)(2)}{Ni-II(CN)(4)}(2)] (3-O(-)py = pyridin-3-onato anion, mea = monoethanolamine) (2) are described. These compounds are prepared by the same method. However, hydroxypyridine ligands are different, thus these structures differ.
