Identification of the best known uniformly distributed Pareto set is the motivation of most multi-objective research. This research work proposed a multi-objective genetic based algorithm called Genetic Pareto Set Identification Algorithm (GPSIA) and a systematic approach to calculate the distance between two successive points in the Pareto set. Bi-objective optimization problem of a series-parallel system was studied. Application of the systematic approach was used to assess the sensitivity of GPSIA, NSGA-II and SPEA-2 to variation and results were discussed.
