摘要

The present work reports for the preparation of four glass compositions in the system K(2)O-MgO-Al(2)O(3)-SiO(2) and synthesis of machinable glass ceramics on their basis. The use of lithium, gadolinium, phosphorus and fluorine containing additives as well as the special regime of thermal treatment of the glasses, resulted in the formation of glass ceramics incorporating crystalline phases of the phlogopite group (phlogopite, fluorphlogopite, tainolite, norbergite, etc.). The main phases in all the glass ceramic samples obtained were phlogopite and fluorphlogopite. The glassy crystallisation was carried out in the temperature interval 800-950 degrees C. The phase composition, structures and some of the most important properties of the glass and glass ceramic samples were determined.
