摘要

Thixotropy is one of the important rheological properties of waxy crude oil. The technological calculation of oil pipeline needs an accurate and qualitative description of the thixotropic behavior of waxy crude oil. An equation for describing the thixotropy of waxy crude oil is proposed based on the Moore model of structure principle. The application method of the equation is discussed. The thixotropical experiment data of 3 kinds of different waxy crude oils at 11 different temperatures are regressed according to the equation. It is shown that the minimum, maximum and average value of the correlation coefficient are 0.9277, 0.9910 and 0.9673 respectively. This description method for the thixotropy of waxy crude oil has more definite physical meaning and can be applied conveniently. It can accurately describe the thixotropy of waxy crude oil under different shear rates.
